The Faculty Lounge Stories.
My premise is that everybody has attended high school, but most have no idea what happens inside a Faculty Lounge. To me the Faculty Lounge was the conversational center of the school, where people talked about what was important to them as teachers and as human beings. I set my stories in the fictional Stradford High School in a suburb outside of Cleveland.
They are told in the first-person voice of Joe Lehrer. ‘Lehrer’ in German translates as ‘teacher.’
The Faculty Lounge Stories are fiction. This is where I’m supposed to tell you that “any similarity between actual events or actual characters, living or dead, is coincidental.” That is true. Hopefully my stories ring true for you as well.
